Laboratory Information

EONE continues its efforts to serve as a leader of the medical science of the future.

Laboratory Guide

Laboratory Medicine

The Laboratory Medicine Division of EONE conducts and interprets a broad range of tests on the blood, urine, bodily fluid and other specimens from the subject to diagnose and identify diseases and their severity and progress, playing very important roles in the directions for treatment and prognosis appraised by the clinical staff. The laboratories staffed by the clinical and support staffs with knowledge and experience of clinical tests gained over long periods conducts tests in a timely and accurate manner and are operated 24/7 to provide prompt reports.

Automated test

Automated test at EONE Lab is performed under the meticulously-designed, cutting-edge automation line that covers - 24 hours a day and 7 days a week - reporting of specimen arrival to clinicians and checking the arrived specimens into the specimen refrigerator.

Clinico-chemical test

EONE Lab analyzes blood, urine and body fluid by way of clinico-chemical test that uses cutting-edge automated clinic-chemical analyzers for strictly-controlled quality and submission of test results accurately and promptly.

Urine test

EONE Lab analyzes physic-chemical property of urine by way of urine test. Also performed in the course of urine test is microscopic observation that assists diagnosis of renal and urinary systems diseases, as well as endocrine and systemic diseases. Urine test is also performed by fully automated test equipment for the most reliable test results.

Immunological test

EONE Lab takes a small amount of specimens to induce antigen-antibody reaction to perform hormone quantification, tumor marker test and serological test of infectious diseases. Immunological test is also fully automated, and takes less than 24 hours as the results are, for most of the cases, reported before 8AM the next day.

Hematological test

The Department of Diagnosis and Blood Test in EONE Lab is in charge of hematological test to diagnose anemia, hematological tumor and other hematological disease, as well as tests of blood clotting and transfusion. EONE Lab is NGSP Level 1-certified for accuracy in glycated hemoglobin test results.

Microbiological test

EONE Lab diagnoses inflammatory diseases with accuracy and promptness by way of microbial culturing and identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility test. These tests are performed at negative pressure test room furnished with isolated ventilation duct and double doors.

Special chemical test

Such tests as inborn error of metabolism identification, metabolitic analysis for amino acid and organic acid, isoenzyme analysis such as heavy metal analysis, protein fractionation and prenatal testing are performed using double-focusing mass spectrometer.

Special immunological test

Special immunological test in EONE Lab such as autoimmune disease test, latent tuberculosis and allergy panel test is performed by inducing antigen-antibody reaction in specimens of blood and/or body fluid.

Nuclear medicinal test

In EONE Lab, the Korea's first nuclear medicinal test agent, the professional team of nuclear medicinal test comprising radioactive safety controller and skilled nuclear medicine experts performs a variety of tests that includes diagnosis of endocrine diseases, by indicating presence of antigen-antibody reaction using radioisotope.

Molecular diagnosis

EONE Lab's Molecular diagnosis room is furnished with cutting edge testing equipment specialized in genetic testing, and run by skilled professional for prompt and accurate diagnosis of infectious diseases, hereditary disorders and cancers.

Cytogenetic test

EONE Lab performs karyotype analysis in specimens of blood, amniotic fluid, bone marrow and tissues to detect congenital hereditary disorders such as Down's Syndrome and diseases induced by acquired genetic factors.

Flow cytometry

For flow cytometry, EONE Lab performs Anti-Aquaporin-4 Antibody(AQP4 Ab) test for diagnosis and monitoring of neuromyelitis optica and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) , and lymphocyte subset test.
